Je suis de'sole'e (I am so sorry)

Where I live (on a small, Canadian, West Coast, inland waters island) our coast is threatened by oil spills from a possible massive, four fold increase of oil tanker traffic through very busy waterways. I made this piece "Je Suis Desolee' " as an emotional reaction to the threat to my home which is home to endangered Orca whales, grey whales, humpback whales, seals, sea lions, fish, seabirds and other sea creatures.

This piece was part of the "Current Threads" the Vancouver Island Surface Design Association chapter's show in Ladysmith, B.C. in April 2017.
